We want to make sure your garment’s beauty endures and so, we’ve gathered our essential tips to care for and maintain its long-lasting luxury materials. Please always refer to the product’s label as it is specifically tailored to advise on the correct level of care. |
Our beloved fabrications are hand-selected for the highest quality and durability. For this reason, we advise dry cleaning or hand washing to prolong their lifetime. Airing and steaming in between washes is also recommended as household dryers and irons can damage and crease fabrics. Please always refer to the product’s care label as it is specifically tailored to advise on the correct washing requirements. |
Top Tips - Use the zip and/or buttons to prevent stretching fabrics. - Try on garments without makeup. - Remove jewellery to reduce the risk of pulling delicate fabrics. |
Top Tips - Be careful when using sunscreens as they can fade and/or stain fabrics. - Perfume, hairspray and deodorant should be sprayed and allowed to dry before dressing as they can fade and discolour fabrics. - Store garments away from natural light and in a cool dry place. - Never store garments in plastic bags. |
Top Tips - Consider spot cleaning first to maintain the fabric’s colour intensity. - Only iron when necessary; on a cool setting or gently steam on the reverse of the garment to prevent creasing. - If machine washable, use a net bag, pillowcase or a wash-proof garment bag to prevent damage when washing. Opt for a colour care detergent and remove the garment immediately after a cycle to prevent creasing. - If hand washable only, wash inside out in cold water as this will prolong the life of your garment. |

Fashion’s Future Is Circular
At Club L, we are committed to delivering long-lasting quality garments to cherish for years to come; placing this ethos at the forefront of our new sustainability journey as a slow fashion brand. Guiding you through how to look after your luxury pieces, we can aid in the global mission to cut the consumption of new clothing, reduce fashion’s carbon footprint and therefore, the level of waste in landfills.
Whether you’re maintaining something new or breathing life back into your fail-safes, these tips will put you on the path to making a meaningful positive change for the planet.
THINK TWICE ABOUT WASHING
Garments can withstand multiple wears and washingcan in fact shorten their lifespans, leaving them more likely to damage prematurely. Make them work harder, skip a cycle and save on water and energy in the process.
WASH SMART
Get acquainted with your garments by reading their individual care labels.
Synthetic fabrics can shed microplastics, so try and wash these less frequently. We recommend using a synthetic-specific washing bag or laundry ball to catch microplastics.
Whenever possible, wash with cold water and on shorter cycles. A hot cycle uses 75% more energy than cold and it’s also more likely to break down dyes and cause garments to shrink.
USE EARTH-FRIENDLY LAUNDRY DETERGENTS
Free from harmful petrochemicals (petroleum-derived) and/or minimally packaged laundry products and cleaning solutions.
TAKE SOME AIR
Hang clothes on an outdoorline or a drying rackwhere possible.
STORE PROPERLY
Hang garments on wooden or fabric-padded hangers to avoid stretching and misshaping garments.
Store out of direct sunlight to reduce the risk of colour fading.
At the end of a season, store clean clothes in a cool, dry environment to avoid bacteria and mold. Make sure to give proper aeration and provide adequate space between hangers to keep clothes fresh.
DRY CLEAN GREEN
Traditional dry cleaning means soaking clothes in a highly toxic petroleum-based solvent, but if the service is necessary, choose a dry cleaner that uses environmentally friendly cleaning solutions. When collecting, bring your own reusable bag and return hangers later to reduce your footprint even further.
We recommend GreenEarth Cleaning for the best planet-friendly results.
REUSE AND REPURPOSE
Mend and customise unwanted clothing or turn them into cleaning cloths to divert waste from landfills and save paper.
Repair heels and soles as soon as your shoes wear out to extend their lifespan. Store your Club L shoes in the specially designed box they arrived in and fill each with tissue paper to maintain their shape.
