WHERE TO VISIT

Churches stole our hearts this trip. Like every bell tower, statue and historic landmark, Baroquist exhibitions were around every corner, reflecting the maze-like design of the inner city. Basilica di Santa Croce was a breathtaking highlight - boasting an ornate facade and an equally impressive interior filled with sculptures and frescoes. Escaping the crowds, we uncovered the Church of Sant'Irene: peaceful, charming and a beautiful backdrop for campaign shooting.

WHERE TO EAT & DRINK

Between shoot locations, food stops were fast but after hours, we indulged in the what the varied city had to offer. From wining and unwinding at Saloon Keeper 1933 to La Torre di Merlino’s incredible pasta to Pasticceria Natale for a late-night gelato, we found some of the best cuisine situated in the small golden streets.

In a charming 18th-century palace overlooking the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, the Santa Chiara hotel was the dream home away from home for the shoot - blending historical elegance with modern amenities. Landmarks like the Santa Chiara Church and Roman Amphitheatre were just steps away, so we could immerse ourselves in the culture of Lecce like a privileged resident.
